One of Eurobulegoa’s key objectives is to set up a General Observatory to monitor Basque involvement in the Framework Programmes.
The Observatory serves not only to monitor Basque agents’ involvement in the Framework Programmes, but also to establish the fundamental indicators and goals to achieve the overall success of the Basque internationalisation strategy and the individual success of each and every one of the areas established for each of the Framework Programmes.
As a result, as far as Basque involvement in FP6 was concerned, one of the quantifiable objectives of the Basque Country’s presence in the European Research Area was to obtain a quantitative increase in FP6 returns. The goal of achieving a 30% increase was met.
